I agree. In the spring of 2003 I decided I wanted to lose weight. I was a full time student at GMU then, and didn't want to have to bring my own food to campus, along with my books. So I decided the diet that I could most closely follow, given the food choices on campus, was the Zone. I downloaded and gathered nutritional information from all of the restaurants on campus, near work and home, and identified items on the menus that most closely fit the zone diet. I spent three months eating fast food and not much else. I would have a cheesburger from McDonald's, wait a few hours, then have two tacos from Taco Bell. This went on for two months, two months in which I lost over twenty pounds! That is why I am not a big fan of the "Supersize me" movie. I think that if you eat 5000 calories of anything, you are going to be in trouble. I do however, believe in nutrition, and wish that nutritious food was more widely available for people in a rush. When I finally got off of that diet, and decided to eat more raw natural foods such as fruits and vegetables, my body thanked me. Weight loss aside, eating nothing but fast food will make you miserable. Trust me.
I agree. Even the salads at McDonald's are bad for you.
There is this healthy "fast food" restaurant near Kate's house. It was pretty damn stupid. The food was over-priced, the selection was small and it was very bland.
